1.1: Company Overview: Albemarle Corporation (NYSE: ALB) is a manufacturer, marketer, and developer of specialty chemicals. The company’s energy storage segment contributes to more efficient use of renewable energy via grid storage and energy storage for electric vehicles. The specialties segment is involved in the reduction of emissions from rubber tires, fire prevention for electronic equipment, and reduction for emissions from coal-fired power plants.
