Safe Bulkers, Inc. is a holding company. The Company's principal business is the acquisition, ownership, and operation of dry bulk vessels. The Company's vessels operate across the world, carrying dry bulk cargo for the consumers of marine dry bulk transportation services. The Company is an international provider of marine dry bulk transportation services, transporting bulk cargoes, particularly coal, grain, and iron ore, along shipping routes across the world.

SB over the last five years has been in an upward trending momentum in its revenues and gross profits, the primary contributor being an increase in the number of vessels as well as the average daily charter rate which also improved on a YoY basis. SB has grown its revenues and gross margin at a 5-year CAGR of 24.54% and 31.26% respectively. Furthermore, the higher CAGR for gross profit means increased efficiency in managing the cost of revenues by the company over the last five years.
