Kingsmen Resources Ltd. (TSXV: KNG) (OTCQB: KNGRF) (FSE: TUY) has announced it has contracted Geofisica TMC to conduct drone-borne aeromagnetic and LiDAR surveys across its 100%-controlled Las Coloradas silver project in Chihuahua, Mexico. The project-wide surveys cover the full 8.8 km² property across 196 line-kilometres and are designed to identify structural intersections beneath overburden that have hosted the widest high-grade intercepts to date. Drilling continues simultaneously, with the 22nd hole of the current program now underway.
Key Points
- Kingsmen Resources Ltd. (TSXV: KNG) (OTCQB: KNGRF) (FSE: TUY) — silver-focused explorer in the Parral mining district of Mexico
- Geofisica TMC contracted to fly drone aeromagnetic and LiDAR surveys across the entire 8.8 km² Las Coloradas property
- Best intercepts to date include 10.5 m @ 200 g/t Ag Eq (LC-25-008) and 6.45 m @ 218 g/t Ag Eq (LC-26-020) at NW- and NE-trending structural intersections
- Investors may be watching for survey results and assay announcements from hole 22 and subsequent drilling
Survey Design Targets Structural Crossings Beneath Las Coloradas Cover
The aeromagnetic survey will be flown by drone at low altitude with flight lines spaced at 50 metres and tie lines at 500 metres, providing significantly higher resolution than conventional airborne magnetics, according to the release. The survey is intended to map faults, lithological contacts, and alteration zones by magnetic signature in areas where bedrock exposure is limited. LiDAR will complement this by producing a high-resolution bare-earth model, revealing lineaments, faults, and the footprint of historic workings beneath vegetation and soil cover.
High-Grade Intercepts Define Priority Targets for Kingsmen at Las Coloradas
The company's disclosure indicates that the widest mineralised zones intersected to date occur where NW- and NE-trending structures cross. Notable intercepts include 10.5 m at 200 g/t silver equivalent from drill hole LC-25-008 and 6.45 m at 218 g/t silver equivalent from LC-26-020. The surveys are intended to sharpen targeting on the Soledad and Soledad II structures and the Saddle target, located 4.0 kilometres west of the Mine zone, and to generate new targets in areas currently obscured by overburden.
Drilling Advances at Las Coloradas with Hole 22 Underway
Concurrent with the survey programme, drilling at Las Coloradas is ongoing. The 22nd hole of the current programme is underway, and the company states the programme is expected to continue until the Christmas break. Drill core is being submitted to ALS Geochemistry-Chihuahua for multi-element analysis and fire assay gold. The company states assay results will be announced following receipt, compilation, and confirmation. The technical disclosure has been reviewed and approved by Qualified Person Kieran Downes, Ph.D., P.Geo., a director of the company.
