LithiumBank Resources Corp. (TSXV: LBNK) (OTCQX: LBNKF) announced that its 100%-owned Boardwalk Lithium Brine Project in northwest Alberta has been selected for inclusion in the Canada Investment Summit Prospectus, identifying it as a project of strategic importance within Canada's critical minerals sector. The Summit, hosted by Prime Minister Mark Carney alongside CPP Investments and PSP Investments, is scheduled for September 14 and 15, 2026 in Toronto, with the objective of attracting up to $1 trillion of investment into Canada. For investors tracking the Canadian lithium space, the inclusion signals institutional-level recognition of Boardwalk's development potential.
Key Points
- LithiumBank Resources Corp. (TSXV: LBNK) (OTCQX: LBNKF)
- Boardwalk Lithium Brine Project selected for the Canada Investment Summit Prospectus, hosted September 14–15, 2026
- Boardwalk hosts 5.195 million tonnes of measured and indicated LCE at 81.6 mg/L, plus 2.777 million tonnes of inferred LCE at 79.0 mg/L
- Investors may watch progress on the ongoing Feasibility Study and infrastructure acquisition agreements
Boardwalk's Resource Scale and Alberta Infrastructure Advantages
The Boardwalk project hosts the highest-grade measured and indicated lithium-brine resource reported in Alberta, with 5.195 million tonnes of measured and indicated lithium carbonate equivalent at an average concentration of 81.6 mg/L, and an additional 2.777 million tonnes of inferred LCE at 79.0 mg/L. The release states that Boardwalk's Alberta location provides access to existing energy infrastructure, transportation networks, and technical expertise — factors the company believes could support a capital-efficient development approach compared with greenfield projects requiring substantial new infrastructure construction.
Direct Lithium Extraction Progress and SLB Development Agreement
LithiumBank holds a Development Agreement with SLB that includes binding Direct Lithium Extraction licensing terms. The company states that since May 2026, approximately 150,000 litres of Boardwalk brine have been collected from the 10-6 well to support process optimisation and flowsheet validation. Previous SLB pilot testing achieved lithium recoveries of up to 95% and greater than 99% overall impurity rejection, according to the release. The planned well-to-product demonstration is designed to build on those results in support of the ongoing Feasibility Study focused on the eastern portion of Boardwalk.
Recent Infrastructure Agreements Strengthen Boardwalk's Development Path
The company disclosed two recent infrastructure milestones supporting Boardwalk's advancement. In July 2026, LithiumBank signed a non-binding Letter of Intent to acquire an option over existing wells, pipelines, and related surface assets at Boardwalk, which the company expects could reduce the need for new brine-extraction infrastructure. In August 2026, the company entered a binding option agreement to acquire up to 160 acres of privately owned land near Sturgeon Lake as a potential site for a central processing facility, located approximately 800 metres from Highway 43 and served by a 138-kilovolt power transmission line.
