Nuvau Minerals Inc. (TSXV: NMC) has reported initial assay results from its 2026 summer drilling program at its Thundermine target within the Matagami Mining District Property in Québec. Hole TH-26-08 returned 138.87 g/t gold over 4.45 metres, including two high-grade quartz-tourmaline veins grading 629.15 g/t gold over 0.85 metres and 236.95 g/t gold over 0.35 metres. The results establish Thundermine as a significant emerging gold system, with assays from seven of the ten summer drillholes still pending.

Key Points

  • Nuvau Minerals Inc. (TSXV: NMC) — gold exploration, Matagami Mining District, Québec
  • TH-26-08 intersected 138.87 g/t Au over 4.45 metres; TH-26-05 returned broad mineralisation averaging 0.57 g/t Au over 180.4 metres
  • All 10 summer drillholes intersected the targeted tonalitic intrusive; visible gold observed in seven holes
  • Investors may be watching for pending assays from seven remaining holes and any subsequent step-out drilling results

Thundermine Drill Results Reveal High-Grade Quartz-Tourmaline Veins Within Broader System

Three holes have returned assays to date. TH-26-08 delivered the headline intercept of 138.87 g/t gold over 4.45 metres, anchored by two discrete quartz-tourmaline veins grading 629.15 g/t gold over 0.85 metres and 236.95 g/t gold over 0.35 metres. TH-26-05 demonstrated the system's broader scale, intersecting gold mineralisation across a 180.4-metre composite interval averaging 0.57 g/t gold and containing five individual intervals above 10 g/t gold, including 10.52 g/t gold over 2.70 metres. TH-26-06 also returned multiple intervals above 5 g/t gold within an 81.9-metre composite zone.

Geological Model Points to Kilometre-Scale Intrusive-Hosted Gold System at Matagami

The release describes a steeply dipping tonalitic intrusive estimated at approximately 150 metres thick, cut by multiple generations of gold-bearing quartz-carbonate-tourmaline veins. Combined historical and current drilling now traces the geological framework for more than 300 metres along trend and more than 400 metres vertically. The system remains open at depth and to the southeast within a broader kilometre-scale structural corridor. Nuvau's management drew comparisons to orogenic gold systems of the Sigma-Lamaque district in Val-d'Or as a geological model for continued exploration, though the release notes alternative interpretations are being evaluated.

Gold Assays Processed Using PhotonAssay™ Technology Under Accredited QA/QC Protocol

Drill core is logged and sawn at Nuvau's secure core facility before being transported under chain-of-custody procedures to MSALABS in Val-d'Or, an independent ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratory. Gold assays were completed using PhotonAssay™ technology on nominal 500-gram aliquots. The company's QA/QC programme includes certified reference materials, blanks, and duplicates representing approximately 11% of submitted samples. The scientific and technical content was reviewed and approved by Bastien Fresia, P. Geo. (Qc), Director of Technical Services, as qualified person under National Instrument 43-101.
