Sego Resources Inc. (TSXV: SGZ) has announced that drill sites have been located for a fully funded 2,000-metre diamond drill program at its Miner Mountain alkalic copper-gold porphyry project near Princeton, British Columbia, scheduled to begin mid-October 2026. The program will test strong, deep induced polarization chargeability anomalies identified beneath both the Cuba Zone and the South Gold Zone. Three holes are planned in total, with two targeting the Cuba Zone and one targeting the South Gold Zone, all focused on chargeability highs exceeding 12 milliseconds. Investors may be watching this program as the first drilling to probe these deep geophysical targets.

Key Points

  • Sego Resources Inc. (TSXV: SGZ) is a 100% owner of the Miner Mountain project near Princeton, British Columbia
  • A fully funded 2,000-metre diamond drill program is scheduled to commence mid-October 2026, with sites now selected
  • Three holes will target chargeability anomalies exceeding 12 ms: two in the Cuba Zone at approximately 500 m depth and one in the South Gold Zone at approximately 300 m depth
  • Investors may be watching for assay results from holes drilled below historically reported copper-gold intersections at both zones

Cuba Zone Holes Target Large Deep Chargeability Anomaly at 500 Metres

Two drill holes are planned at the Cuba Zone to intersect a chargeability high measuring approximately 500 metres east-west and up to 200 metres north-south at the 500-metre depth level. Hole CG1 will be collared west and north of the Cuba Zone, drilling south toward the chargeability high at approximately 440 metres depth, with an estimated total length exceeding 690 metres. Previous intersections in the vicinity include DDH 12-21, which returned 0.96% copper and 0.55 g/t gold over 100.4 metres. Hole C2 will approach the same anomaly from the southeast, targeting the chargeability high at approximately 600 metres along hole or about 500 metres vertically below surface.

South Gold Zone Hole Probes Suspected Deeper Porphyry Copper Potential

Hole A at the South Gold Zone will be collared northwest of the zone and directed southeast toward a chargeability high at the 300-metre level plan. The release states the anomaly occurs north and deeper than existing South Gold Zone mineralization and carries similar size and geometry. Historic trench sampling dating to 1963 identified several samples above 0.1% copper in the area, leading the company to suspect the chargeability high may be associated with deeper porphyry copper mineralisation. The hole will pass near previously reported intersections including DDH 21-49, which returned 0.61 g/t gold over 56.9 metres.

Quality Controls and Qualified Person Sign-Off in Place for Fall-Winter Program

Sego's quality assurance and quality control protocol for the fall-winter exploration program includes certified reference samples, duplicates, and blank samples systematically inserted into the sample stream. The company also stated it regularly sends check assays to a second laboratory. The announcement was reviewed and approved by Tor Bruland, P.Geo., a Qualified Person under NI 43-101, acting as a non-independent consulting geologist commissioned by Sego Resources. The Miner Mountain property covers 2,056 hectares and is situated 15 kilometres north of the Copper Mountain Mine operated by Hudbay Minerals Inc.
