Upside Gold Corp. (CSE: UG | FSE: 47I | OTCQB: UGODF) has completed its 2026 field exploration program at the Kena Gold-Copper Project in southeastern British Columbia, announcing grab sample results that include 59.7 g/t gold and 13.1 g/t silver from the Juno dump at the newly acquired Venus-Juno claims. The results suggest high-grade gold mineralisation extends well beyond the boundaries of the existing historical resource area. With 105 of 145 collected rock samples still awaiting assay, investors may be watching for additional results to gauge the full scope of the discovery.
Key Points
- Upside Gold Corp. (CSE: UG | OTCQB: UGODF) is a Canadian gold-copper exploration company advancing the Kena Gold-Copper Project near Nelson, British Columbia
- The 2026 field program, running June to October, completed mapping and sampling across multiple target areas including the newly acquired Venus-Juno claims
- Top grab sample result of 59.7 g/t Au with 13.1 g/t Ag returned from the Juno dump; 25.2 g/t Au with 0.20% Cu reported from the Bird's Eye dump
- An updated NI 43-101 mineral resource estimate for the Kena Project is expected in Q1 2027
Venus-Juno Claims Deliver Multiple High-Grade Gold Intercepts Across Historical Workings
The Venus-Juno claims, comprising seven mineral claims covering 273 hectares and acquired by Upside Gold in 2026, lie approximately 6 kilometres northwest of the Kena Gold Zone. The area contains historical workings, including the Juno and Bird's Eye showings, which had seen limited modern exploration prior to this season's program. Sampling of historical dumps, trenches, and adits returned gold values accompanied by copper and silver across multiple samples, with the company stating these results demonstrate that high-grade gold occurrences in Silver King Porphyry host rocks continue westward beyond the known historical resource boundary.
Gold Mountain West and Kena Copper Zone Also Sampled During Season-Long Fieldwork
Beyond Venus-Juno, the 2026 program covered Gold Mountain West, Three Friends, Euphrates, Noman, South Zone, and the Kena Copper Zone. Assayed results from Gold Mountain West include 8.80 g/t Au with 1.4 g/t Ag from a trench sample and 1.42 g/t Au from an altered pyritic outcrop. The Kena Copper Zone returned 1.15% Cu alongside gold and silver values. The company collected a total of 145 rock samples across all areas during the season, of which 40 have been assayed to date, with the remaining results to be reported as they are received and reviewed.
Kena Project Scale and Resource Context Underpinning Exploration Strategy
The Kena Gold-Copper Project covers 10,578 hectares across 207 mineral claims and 11 crown grants, located approximately 7 kilometres southwest of Nelson, British Columbia. The project hosts a historical resource — not classified as current under NI 43-101 — comprising an Indicated Resource of 32,146,000 tonnes at 0.544 g/t Au and an Inferred Resource of 177,507,000 tonnes at 0.486 g/t Au. Upside Gold is working toward an updated resource estimate, expected in Q1 2027, while simultaneously compiling 2025 and 2026 surface exploration data to rank targets for follow-up work including mapping, trenching, and drilling.
