Five Results Releases Carried Deal News, From Acquisitions to Pending Mergers
Third-quarter reports dated Nov 2, 2026 from five companies came with merger or Acquisition developments attached. ON Semiconductor and BioMarin were acquirers, while the remaining three had pending combinations. Where a counterparty is itself listed, the source materials leave it unnamed, and this piece follows that approach.
ON Semiconductor (NASDAQ:ON) booked revenue of $1.722 billion, an 11% increase, and agreed to buy Ferric for $600 million plus as much as $175 million in earn-outs. Centerspace (NYSE:CSR) reported $123.3 million of net income and $59.5 million of revenue, which fell 16.6%; its combination is still awaiting completion. Independence Realty Trust (NYSE:IRT) produced $172.0 million in revenue and $25.1 million in net income, with its merger ballot scheduled for Nov 10, 2026.
BioMarin (NASDAQ:BMRN) generated $1,025 million of revenue, a 32% rise, yet landed a $123 million net loss after buying a Business during 2026. Roku (NASDAQ:ROKU) brought in $1.502 billion of revenue and $183.3 million of net income, with its merger still unresolved. Because the businesses range from real estate trusts to a chipmaker and a biotech, direct comparisons are limited.
ON Semiconductor: Ferric Acquisition Adds a Voltage Regulator Maker to AI Data Center Plans
Revenue for ON Semiconductor totaled $1.722 billion, up from $1.551 billion. GAAP profit was $313.9 million, equal to $0.79 per share, and AI data center sales reached $180 million, rising 175% from a year before. The target, Ferric, produces integrated voltage regulators and is privately held; the price is $600 million plus up to $175 million of revenue-linked earn-outs, with completion expected in the fourth quarter.
Management anticipates no significant near-term financial effect and Earnings accretion once the deal reaches scale. The company lifted its 2030 target for AI data center revenue by $500 million, to above $3 billion.
Repurchases were capped at $20 million because of trading limits connected to another cash deal, involving a listed tech firm the source leaves unidentified. Fourth-quarter revenue is expected between $1.715 billion and $1.815 billion.
Centerspace: Asset Sales Lift Net Income While Core FFO Declines
Earnings for common holders hit $123.3 million, equal to $7.28 for each diluted share, up from $53.8 million, a jump driven largely by $150.3 million in property sale profits. The company disposed of 13 communities containing 1,634 homes for $288.8 million during the quarter.
Because of those disposals, revenue dropped 16.6% to $59.5 million. Core FFO was $1.11 a share, down from $1.19, and same-store net Operating Income fell 2.7% to $29.7 million.
On Sep 8, 2026, the company struck a combination pact with a multifamily REIT, and each common share will be exchanged for 3.8 acquirer shares. Completion could come as soon as late in the fourth quarter of 2026, contingent on Shareholder approval. Should the arrangement collapse under certain circumstances, a $45.0 million break fee would be owed, and the filing carries no outlook.
Independence Realty Trust: A Nov 10 Vote Hangs Over Steady Core FFO and Lower EPS Guidance
Independence Realty Trust earned $25.1 million, or $0.11 a share, and a $26.5 million gain from a property disposal helped push that figure up. Revenue from rentals and other property sources reached $172.0 million, rising roughly 3.0% (calculated). Core FFO came to $70.7 million, which works out to $0.29 a share, unchanged from the prior-year per-share amount.
The full-year core FFO outlook stays at $1.13 to $1.15 per share, while the EPS outlook was cut, now $0.18 to $0.20 versus the previous $0.22 to $0.27.
A deal with another apartment REIT was agreed on Sep 9, 2026; the acquirer will issue 3.800 shares per acquired share. Once combined, the group would control 163 communities and approximately 44,400 units, and annual synergies are estimated at $24 million. Investors in both firms cast votes on Nov 10, 2026, with completion possibly by late Q4.
BioMarin: Revenue Tops $1 Billion as Acquisition Expenses Push the Net Loss Wider
Revenue at BioMarin crossed $1 billion for the first time in a single quarter, reaching $1,025 million compared with $776 million earlier. The GAAP loss widened to $123 million, equal to $0.63 per share, up from $31 million, which management attributed to amortization of intangibles, interest tied to acquisition borrowing, integration costs and $287.7 million of acquired in-process Research and Development from a separate agreement.
The Metabolic Conditions line grew 44%, reaching $744 million, with acquired products that closed on Apr 27, 2026 contributing to that gain. On a non-GAAP diluted basis, EPS stood at $0.23, up from $0.12.
For the year, BioMarin now sees revenue between $3.80 billion and $3.90 billion and non-GAAP EPS of $2.80 to $3.10, both lower than before. One overseas customer pushed back about $70 million of orders, largely set to ship between late Q4 and Q1 2027.
Roku: Merger Consideration Set at 0.9693 Shares Plus $96.00 in Cash
Top-line results for Roku reached $1.502 billion, growing 24%, while net income of $183.3 million translated into $1.20 per diluted share, up from $24.8 million. Ad revenue advanced 23% to $727.4 million, and subscriptions grew by the same 23%, reaching $580.9 million. Adjusted EBITDA hit $248.8 million, leaving out $13.6 million of costs connected to the merger and other items.
The Jun 14, 2026 pact with a major American media company sets the exchange at 0.9693 of an acquirer Class A share, plus $96.00 in cash, for every Roku share, leaving Roku holders with around 27% of the merged company. An $866.1 million termination fee applies in defined situations.
Finishing the transaction depends on antitrust approval plus other conditions. After signing, the buyback was suspended; before that, $162.7 million of stock had been bought back. No guidance is included in the filing.
Deal Disclosure Scorecard: Revenue Swings and Profit Mix Across the Five
Revenue growth stretched from 32% at BioMarin down to negative 16.6% at Centerspace, a 48.6-point gap (calculated). The unweighted mean growth rate came to roughly 10.7% (calculated), blending revenue lines of very different sizes.
Combined revenue totals approximately $4.48 billion (calculated), and ON Semiconductor represents about 38% of that (calculated). Aggregate net income is roughly $522.6 million (calculated), which deducts BioMarin's $123 million loss from four profits, two of them lifted by property sale gains.
Measurement bases vary: ON Semiconductor grew 11.05%, the Independence Realty Trust figure reflects rentals and other property income, and Centerspace's drop mirrors divestitures.
What to Watch Next: Nov 10 Vote, Fourth-Quarter Closings and 2027 FDA Dates
Shareholders of Independence Realty Trust cast their ballots on the combination on Nov 10, 2026. Completion of that transaction and of Centerspace's could arrive by late Q4 2026, and ON Semiconductor's Ferric acquisition is also pegged to close in that quarter.
Two regulatory markers sit on BioMarin's calendar: a Feb 28, 2027 decision date on full approval for VOXZOGO among young patients with achondroplasia, and a May 30, 2027 FDA action date tied to hypochondroplasia. Deferred orders are slated to ship from the end of Q4 into Q1 2027.
Roku's materials point to no fixed date for completion; the timing hinges on regulators and remaining conditions.
