Energy Fuels Inc. (TSX: EFR | NYSE American: UUUU) reported that its Pinyon Plain uranium mine in Arizona produced 638,700 pounds of U₃O₈ in the second quarter of 2025. The performance was driven by high-grade ore, with June grades averaging 3.51% U₃O₈ and the full quarter averaging 2.23%.
Energy Fuels is a U.S.-based critical minerals company with operations across uranium, rare earth elements, vanadium, and heavy mineral sands. The company owns and operates the White Mesa Mill in Utah—currently the only operational conventional uranium mill in the United States—and maintains multiple uranium projects in the western U.S. Its shares are dual-listed on the NYSE American and Toronto Stock Exchange.
During the quarter, the company sold 50,000 pounds of uranium at an average price of CAD77 per pound on the spot market. It anticipates selling an additional 140,000 pounds in the third quarter and 160,000 pounds in the fourth quarter under existing long-term contracts. For 2026, contracted sales volumes are projected to range from 620,000 to 880,000 pounds.
According to Energy Fuels, Pinyon Plain is currently mining only about one-quarter of the vertical extent of the target ore zone. The company highlighted recent positive drilling results in the Juniper zone and noted ongoing potential for further discovery.
With output continuing to exceed expectations, the company stated it may pursue opportunistic sales and new long-term contract agreements based on production from both the mine and its processing facilities.
