Focus Graphite Advanced Materials Inc. (TSXV:FMS)(OTCQB:FCSMF)(FSE:FKC), a leader in graphite mining and material science, has begun its advanced material preparation and testing program in collaboration with U.S.-based Advanced Energy Technologies Corp. (AETC). This partnership is aimed at creating high-quality samples for qualification by Charge CCCV (C4V) as part of its proprietary Digital DNATM Rapid Access qualification platform. The goal is to supply critical materials for various strategic and specialty industrial applications.

The program will focus on producing Focus Graphite’s proprietary silicon-enhanced spheroidized graphite, a key component for anode active materials. These materials are sourced from the company's Lac Knife project in Québec, Canada, and will undergo pilot testing for integration into battery systems. The results of these tests will be vital in supporting various energy storage initiatives, including those related to battery energy storage systems (BESS), gigafactories, and defense-related applications.

In addition to this development, Focus Graphite's work aligns with growing demand for critical minerals, especially as geopolitical tensions continue to affect global supply chains. On April 2nd, 2025, the U.S. government announced that natural graphite would be exempt from new tariffs imposed under the "Liberation Day" executive order. This exemption provides a significant boost to the availability of natural graphite for U.S. energy and technology markets.

This collaboration is a critical step for Focus Graphite as it aims to supply premium graphite materials for markets that are experiencing accelerated demand and facing supply vulnerabilities.
