Melba Project Moves Toward Drilling

Heritage Mining Ltd. (CSE:HML) reported key advancements at its Melba Project in Northeastern Ontario, including the submission of a diamond drilling permit and ongoing site preparations. Field teams have verified historical mine layouts and identified variances between legacy shaft and drill hole maps versus previously modeled 3D data.

Trail enhancements are now in progress to facilitate drill rig access once improvements are complete. The next drill campaign, expected to begin in late 2025 and continue into early 2026, will include 26 diamond drill holes totaling approximately 1,780 meters.

Historical data from the Melba Mine includes notable intercepts such as 23.27 g/t Au over 4.5 meters and 6.59 g/t Au over 12.87 meters near surface, with several occurrences of visible gold reported. Bulk sampling conducted in 2012 by Nordex Explosives Ltd. averaged 3.99 g/t Au from a 2,000 short-tonne ore pile, equivalent to approximately 230.9 oz Au.

Peter Schloo, President, CEO, and Director of Heritage Mining Ltd., stated:

“We remain very encouraged by the historical reports from the Melba Mine. Our goal is to methodically validate the historic high-grade results and advance the project’s development. I’ve personally visited the site, and the team is making strong progress while establishing new regional relationships.”

Contact Bay Confirms Gold Below Rognon Mine

At the Contact Bay Project in Northwestern Ontario, Heritage Mining released diamond drilling results confirming gold mineralization below the historic Rognon Mine.

Key intercepts include:

  • DDH RGN25-003: 1.47 g/t Au over 2 meters from 84 meters.
  • DDH RGN25-004: 2.25 g/t Au over 2 meters from 101 meters, including 4.31 g/t Au over 1 meter.
  • DDH RGN25-004: 3.67 g/t Au over 1.28 meters, including 7.56 g/t Au over 0.55 meters.
  • DDH RGN25-007: 1.09 g/t Au over 3 meters from 104 meters.

Schloo commented:

“The Contact Bay diamond drilling program was another technical success. Given the absence of previous drill data and our confirmation of gold mineralization near a historic mine from the early 1900s, these results now provide a foundation for integrating new targets into our broader exploration model.”

Drayton Black Lake Extends Quartz Vein Structure

At the Drayton Black Lake Project, situated north-northeast of historical workings, new drilling intersected anomalous gold values, extending the mega quartz vein structure by roughly 185 meters.

Reported intercepts include:

  • DDH25-016: 0.10 g/t Au over 8 meters from 88 meters, and 1.03 g/t Au over 1 meter from 102 meters.
  • DDH25-017: 0.28 g/t Au over 1 meter from 72 meters, and 0.90 g/t Au over 1 meter from 76 meters.
  • DDH25-018 and additional assay results are pending.

Schloo added:

“The Drayton Black Lake drilling results are a technical success, extending gold mineralization along strike. We look forward to additional geochemical results that will complement our findings from the Mega Quartz Vein Structure.”
