Highlights
- Outcrop Silver extends the Aguilar vein system 450 metres south through successful step-out drilling.
- Multiple high-grade intercepts in blind targets confirm expanding mineralization potential.
- New drilling indicates the presence of at least three emerging mineralized shoots along the vein.
- Continuity beneath volcanosedimentary cover highlights promising exploration upside.
- Results support Outcrop Silver’s upcoming Q1 2026 mineral resource update.
Outcrop Silver & Gold Corporation (TSX:OCG) has released new results from its ongoing exploration program at the Santa Ana high-grade silver project in Colombia. Recent drilling has extended the Aguilar vein by 450 metres to the south, confirming that mineralization continues beneath the younger volcanosedimentary cover.
Five drill holes—DH514, DH517, DH520, DH524, and DH528—were key to this breakthrough, each intersecting mineralized structures in blind targets. These findings expand the known footprint significantly and support the potential discovery of a new high-grade shoot within the system.
High-Grade Intercepts Reinforce Exploration Momentum
Drill results continue to deliver compelling assays. DH535 returned 0.84 metres grading 1,659 g/t AgEq, while DH524 intercepted 1.04 metres at 779 g/t AgEq. These results, along with previously reported intercepts, underpin the continuity of the Aguilar system along strike and at depth.
Two additional holes, DH532 and DH535, focused on resource definition and confirmed that the previously known high-grade shoot remains open. Geological interpretations point to multiple mineralized centers emerging along Aguilar, reinforcing the scale and potential of the vein corridor.
According to Guillermo Hernandez, Vice President of Exploration, the latest drill campaign enhances the understanding of the system’s geometry. He noted that the consistency of intercepts in blind targets and the emergence of multiple high-grade centers add meaningful value ahead of the Q1 2026 resource update.
Santa Ana: A Broad, High-Grade Mineralized Trend
The Aguilar vein forms part of Santa Ana’s extensive mineralized corridor, which spans more than two kilometres and includes multiple genetically related structures such as the Jimenez and Guadual veins. The project hosts seven major vein systems and numerous mineralized shoots across the district.
Santa Ana’s maiden resource estimate released in 2023 outlined indicated resources of 24.2 million ounces silver equivalent and inferred resources of 13.5 million ounces. Current drilling aims to extend known mineralization and evaluate new high-potential areas along a fully permitted 17 kilometres trend within a broader 30 kilometres mineralized corridor.
Outcrop Silver continues to advance the project through a targeted exploration approach, emphasizing environmental responsibility and community engagement as it works to unlock Santa Ana’s long-term development potential.
Conclusion
The latest drilling success at Aguilar extends the mineralized footprint, uncovers new high-grade centers, and enhances confidence in Santa Ana’s exploration upside. With multiple rigs active and a Q1 2026 mineral resource update underway, Outcrop Silver is positioned to advance one of Colombia’s most historically significant silver districts.
Outcrops’ shares closed at CAD 0.355, marking a 14.51% increase from the prior session.
