Shares Fall Without a Disclosed Trigger Just Before the Earnings Date
Digital Turbine (NASDAQ:APPS) is trading 15.70% lower at $8.91 today, and no company-specific announcement explaining the decline has been identified. The drop lands only days before the company reports fiscal second-quarter results and holds its call on November 2.
The company offers an end-to-end mobile platform that supports carriers, advertisers and publishers across awareness, user Acquisition and monetization. Its reporting covers two segments: App Growth Platform and On Device Solutions.
Within the past year, the shares reached a high of $15.34 and a low of $2.74, so today's decline is another sharp swing in a stock that has been volatile across that span.
Fiscal First-Quarter Gains and a Raised Outlook Set the Standard for November 2
For the fiscal first quarter ended June 30, revenue reached $166.0 million, a 27% gain on a year earlier. Adjusted EBITDA grew 69%, rising to $42.5 million from $25.1 million.
App Growth Platform revenue surged 56% to $56.6 million, and On Device Solutions expanded 15% to $110.0 million. Non-GAAP Gross Profit came in at $82.0 million, a 49% Margin compared with 47% a year before.
On a GAAP basis the company recorded a net loss of $3.2 million, or $0.03 per share. Adjusted Net Income was $24.1 million, or $0.19 per share.
Guidance for fiscal 2027 was lifted to revenue of $650 million to $670 million and adjusted EBITDA of $145 million to $155 million. For comparison, fiscal 2026 revenue totaled $565.25 million.
Operating cash flow was $17.9 million and non-GAAP free cash flow was $11.3 million, versus $1.4 million in the prior-year quarter.
Debt, a Shelf Registration and Valuation Before the Decline
At June 30, cash, cash equivalents and restricted cash totaled $43.2 million, against roughly $352.9 million of total debt. In early October the company filed an automatic mixed securities shelf, a filing that permits future sales of securities but does not on its own point to a specific offering.
Subtracting that cash from the Debt figure implies net debt of about $309.7 million. This is a simple calculation and not a number the company reported.
Before today's decline, market Capitalization was near $1.19 billion based on the October 23 close of $9.86. Trailing twelve-month revenue stood at $600.31 million, up 19.2%, and the 52-week range runs from $2.74 to $15.34.
Four analysts averaged a 12-month price target of $17.00 before the drop, with RBC Capital at $15 and Roth Capital at $19. These figures are presented as data points only and predate today's move.
Raised Fiscal 2027 Outlook Faces Its First Test on November 2
With no identified catalyst behind the slide, attention moves to the fiscal second-quarter report on November 2, when management can update investors on revenue trends, margins and full-year targets. Commentary on debt and the shelf registration may also draw interest. Investors will look for continued growth in App Growth Platform, which rose 56% last quarter, and for free cash flow to build on the $11.3 million reported for the fiscal first quarter.
