Overview:

Hammond Power Solutions Inc. (TSX: HPS.A) is engaged in designing and manufacturing of custom electrical magnetics, cast resin, custom liquid filled distribution and power transformers and standard electrical transformers, serving the electrical and electronic industries. The company has manufacturing plants in Canada, the United States, Mexico and India. The company operates in various geographical markets including Canada, the United States, Mexico, and India in which it derives majority revenue in the United States and Mexico.

HPS.A has been a part of the ‘Growth Portfolio’ since 10 September 2024, however, considering a decline in the share price of the stock, an ‘Exit’ is recommended from the stock at the price of CAD 89.40, (as on 28^th April 2025).

2. New Entry Case: Orla Mining Ltd

Overview:  

Orla Mining Ltd. (TSX: OLA)  is a mineral exploration company engaged in the acquisition and exploration of mineral properties. The company holds two gold projects; the Camino Rojo gold and silver project in Zacatecas State, Mexico, and the Cerro Quema gold project in Panama. It conducts business activities in the geographic areas of Mexico, Panama, the United States, and Canada.

Technical Analysis: On the daily chart, OLA prices are trading on a positive note after making higher highs and higher lows, indicating positive momentum. The 14-period Relative Strength Index (RSI) stands at approximately 59.75, reflecting a buying interest. Additionally, prices are positioned above the 20-period Simple Moving Average (SMA), which could serve as a support level. The key support for stock is at CAD 12.20, while the critical resistance level is at CAD 16.65.

Considering the above mentioned factors, technical analysis, support & resistance levels, an ‘Entry’ is recommended in the ‘Growth Portfolio’ at the closing market price of CAD 14.86, as on (as on 28^th April 2025). 

Orla Mining Ltd. (TSX: OLA) has been identified as the new entry to our Growth Portfolio.
