 Dateline Resources Limited (ASX: DTR)

Dateline Resources Limited (ASX: DTR) is an Australian-based mining and exploration company headquartered in Sydney. The company focuses on the exploration and development of mineral properties across North America, with a primary emphasis on gold, rare earth elements, copper, and strontium.

Recommendation Rationale – SELL at AUD 0.290

  • Surpassed Resistance: DTR’s share price has surpassed its R2 level, recommended on 8 September 2025. Therefore, share price can face resistance at the current levels.
  • Technical Commentary: After a prolong rally, DTR’s stock price is developing multiple top divergences in relation to the Relative strength indicator, anticipating a potential correction. Moreover, the momentum oscillator RSI (14-period) is trading in overbought territory, adding further evidence to the previous observation. Prices are trading above both trend-following indicators 21-day and 50-day SMAs, which might function as dynamic support levels for the stock; in contrast, the stock’s next round level may act as a sentimental resistance.
  • Reported Losses: In 1HFY25, the company incurred a net loss after tax of AUD 2.59 million. The company’s loss-making position presents a risk, as continued financial losses may strain resources, limit growth opportunities, and require additional funding or capital raising to sustain operations.
  • Emerging Risks: DTR is exposed to significant risks including exploration and development uncertainty, dependence on successful resource definition, and fluctuations in gold prices. Project funding requirements and potential delays in approvals or operations could impact progress. The company also faces environmental, regulatory, and jurisdictional risks across its projects, while limited cash flow and capital needs increase financial vulnerability.

DTR Daily Chart
