Analysis by Kalkine Group

Stock Recommendation:

During the fourth quarter of FY21, the company completed the acquisition of AZUR SPACE Solar Power GmbH (AZUR), which operates  in the development and manufacturing of multi-junction solar cells based on III-V compound semiconductor materials. This is expected to boost the company’s product portfolio within specialty semiconductors segment and is likely to offer tremendous growth prospects considering the higher dependence of several critical industries on the semiconductor chipset. We have valued the stock using the Price to Earnings based relative valuation method and have arrived at a double-digit upside (in percentage terms). For the said purposes, we have considered peers like Dupont De Nemours Inc, AECI Ltd etc. Considering the aforesaid facts, we give a ‘Speculative Buy’ rating on the stock of VNP at the last traded price of CAD 2.35 on February 04, 2022.
