Exit Case: Algoma Steel Group Inc. 

Overview:

Algoma Steel Group Inc. (TSX: ASTL) is a Canadian company that produces clean and consistent light gauge steel in North America, offering a range of hot and cold rolled steel sheet and plate products. The firm operates in a single segment of basic steel production. Geographically it serves Canada, the United States and the rest of the world, whilst driving key revenue from domestic sales. Substantial revenue is generated from the sale of Steel sheets and strips.

ASTL has been a part of the ‘Value Portfolio’ since 3^rd March 2025, however, considering the recent drop in share price, and ~21.52% downside from the entry price, an ‘Exit’ is recommended from the stock at the price of CAD 7.77, (as on 5 May 2025).

Overview:  

G Mining Ventures Corp. (TSX: GMIN) is a mining company engaged in the acquisition, exploration and development of precious metal projects to capitalize on the value uplift from successful mine development. GMIN is well-positioned to grow into the next mid-tier precious metals producer by leveraging strong access to capital and proven development expertise. GMIN is currently anchored by the Tocantinzinho Gold Project in Brazil and Oko West Project in Guyana, both mining friendly and prospective jurisdictions.

Technical Analysis: On the daily chart, GMIN prices are trading on the support levels. The 14-period Relative Strength Index (RSI) stands at approximately 55.64, reflecting a positive buying momentum. The key support for stock is at CAD 16.75, while the critical resistance level is at CAD 22.40.

Considering the above mentioned factors, technical analysis, support & resistance levels, an ‘Entry’ is recommended in the ‘Value Portfolio’ at the closing market price of CAD 19.62, as on (as on 5 May 2025).
