Exit Case: Algoma Steel Group Inc. 

Overview:

Algoma Steel Group Inc. (TSX: ASTL) is a Canadian company that produces clean and consistent light gauge steel in North America, offering a range of hot and cold rolled steel sheet and plate products. The firm operates in a single segment of basic steel production. Geographically it serves Canada, the United States and the rest of the world, whilst driving key revenue from domestic sales. Substantial revenue is generated from the sale of Steel sheets and strips.

ASTL has been a part of the ‘Value Portfolio’ since 16 June 2025, however, considering a decline in the share price of the stock, an ‘Exit’ is recommended from the stock at the price of CAD 6.34, (as on 17th September 2025).

New Entry Case: Leon's Furniture Limited 

Overview:  

Leon's Furniture Limited (TSX: LNF) is a Canada-based retailer which is involved in the sale of home furnishing, mattresses, appliances, and electronics. The firm is also the country's commercial retailer of appliances to builders, developers, hotels, and property management companies. It generates maximum revenue from sales of goods by corporate stores.

Technical Analysis: On the daily chart, LNF prices are trading on a positive note after making higher highs and higher lows, indicating positive momentum. The 14-period Relative Strength Index (RSI) stands at approximately 55.11, reflecting a buying interest. Additionally, prices are positioned above the 20-period Simple Moving Average (SMA), which could serve as a support level. The key support for stock is at CAD 25.80, while the critical resistance level is at CAD 33.90.

Considering the above mentioned factors, technical analysis, support & resistance levels, an ‘Entry’ is recommended in the ‘Value Portfolio’ at the closing market price of CAD 29.70, as on (as on 17th September 2025). 

Leon's Furniture Limited (TSX: LNF) has been identified as the new entry to our Value Portfolio.
