1.0 Exit Case: Thomson Reuters Corporation

Overview:

Thomson Reuters Corporation (TSX: TRI) The company serves professionals across legal, tax, accounting, compliance, government, and media. Its products combine highly specialized software and insights to empower professionals with the data, intelligence, and solutions needed to make informed decisions, and to help institutions in their pursuit of justice, truth, and transparency. Reuters, part of Thomson Reuters, is a world leading provider of trusted journalism and news.

TRI has been a part of the ‘Value Portfolio’ since 23 July 2024, however, considering the recent rally, trading above resistance levels in the stock, support & resistance levels, and ~13.69% upside from the entry price, an ‘Exit’ is recommended from the stock at the price of CAD 258.56, (as on 3rd March 2025).

Overview:

Algoma Steel Group Inc. (TSX: ASTL) is a Canadian company that produces clean and consistent light gauge steel in North America, offering a range of hot and cold rolled steel sheet and plate products.

Technical Analysis: On the daily chart, ASTL prices are trading on the support levels. The 14-period Relative Strength Index (RSI) stands at approximately 30.37, reflecting strong buying interest. The key support for stock is at CAD 8.95, while the critical resistance level is at CAD 11.00.

Considering the above mentioned factors, technical analysis, support & resistance levels, key risks and outlook an ‘Entry’ is recommended in the ‘Value Portfolio’ at the current market price of CAD 9.90, as on (as on 3rd March 2025).

Algoma Steel Group Inc. (TSX: ASTL) has been identified as the new entry to our Value Portfolio.
