Thundercloud Metallurgical Drilling Targets Open-Pit Mine Development
The new drilling phase at Thundercloud focuses on collecting core samples from a range of locations and assayed gold grades within the Pelham deposit, where Dynasty plans to develop an open-pit gold mine. The samples will undergo testing to assess rock grindability, the recoverability of gold through chemical leaching, and gravity-recoverability — all critical parameters for mine feasibility planning. The company also noted that additional drilling may be conducted to test near-surface on-strike extensions to the deposit, though no further details were disclosed in the announcement.
Pelham Deposit Location and Existing Resource Context
The Thundercloud Property sits in the Manitou-Stormy Lakes greenstone belt of Northwest Ontario, 200 kilometres southeast of Red Lake and 47 kilometres southeast of Dryden City. A NI 43-101 Resource Estimate was completed for the Pelham Deposit in September 2021. The initial drilling round targeted expansion of surface-accessible gold mineralisation in the South Pelham target area as well as down-plunge extensions of the known deposit. Technical content in the release was reviewed and approved by Peter Holbek, MSc, P.Geo, an independent Qualified Person under NI 43-101.
