Genesis Goldfields Corp. (CSE: GGF) has appointed veteran exploration geologist Jonathan Hill to its Board of Directors as Senior Technical Director, effective October 27, 2026. Hill brings 40 years of experience on orogenic gold systems across Africa and the Americas, including senior roles at AngloGold Ashanti. Jonathan Hill's Orogenic Gold Track Record Across Africa and the Americas

Hill's career encompasses exploration, project development, and production across major orogenic gold belts. At AngloGold Ashanti he held senior roles at projects including Geita in Tanzania, Sadiola, Yatela and Morila in Mali, and Mongbwalu and Kibali in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. He subsequently led AngloGold Ashanti's Greenfields Exploration in Brazil and Colombia, working on world-class deposits in Brazil's Iron Quadrangle. Since 2017 he has served as Principal Advisor at Exploration Outcomes Ltda, the advisory firm he founded to provide specialist technical support to listed exploration and mining companies across Africa, the Americas, and Australia.

Prior Board Role at Avanti Gold and the Misisi DRC Project

Most recently, Hill served as a director of Avanti Gold Corp. (CSE: AGC), which is advancing the Misisi orogenic gold project in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The announcement states that during his tenure, Avanti raised over C$75 million in gross proceeds, including a C$51.75 million bought deal private placement to fund a 42,000-metre drill programme and a maiden preliminary economic assessment at Misisi. Genesis Goldfields President and CEO Jeremy Prinsen noted he observed Hill's technical rigour first-hand while working with Avanti on investor relations.

Angola's Ganda Gold Project and the Geological Case Hill Cites

Genesis Goldfields holds the right to acquire, through a staged earn-in, up to a 70% interest in GOLDANGO - Mineração, Lda., the holder of the Ganda licence, with an option to increase its interest to 90%. The release states Hill views the Ganda project's Precambrian shield setting, structurally controlled quartz veining, and large artisanal footprint as indicators of a primary gold source comparable to the major orogenic systems where he built his career. Hill also noted Angola's potential for securing district-scale gold licences ahead of modern exploration, which he described as rare on the continent today.
