Haivision Systems Inc. (TSX: HAI) has announced a technology partnership with Belgian camera control specialist Cyanview, integrating Cyanview's RIO ecosystem directly into the Falkon X4 mobile video transmitter. The collaboration transforms the Falkon X4 into an all-in-one remote production platform combining live video transport, return video, intercom, tally, and professional camera control in a single field-ready device. For investors, the partnership expands the Falkon X4's addressable market among broadcasters seeking consolidated remote production hardware, with camera control enabled through a separate RIO licence purchased from Cyanview.
Key Points
- Haivision Systems Inc. (TSX: HAI), headquartered in Montreal, is a global provider of real-time video networking and visual collaboration solutions
- Cyanview's RIO camera control technology is now embedded in the Falkon X4 hardware and software environment

- The integrated solution will be demonstrated at IBC2026 at the Haivision stand in Hall 2, Stand 2.B32
RIO Integration Consolidates Remote Production Workflows Inside the Falkon X4
With Cyanview's RIO environment embedded directly into the Falkon X4, broadcasters gain access to paint and shading, iris control, white balance, gain and ISO adjustment, colour settings, lens control, and tally management — all within one compact unit. Operators can manage supported cameras remotely using Cyanview's RCP control panel or web interface. According to the release, the Falkon X4's hardware includes serial connectivity for vendor-specific camera control, ensuring compatibility with professional cameras that cannot be controlled through IP protocols alone.
Falkon X4 Hardware and Software Architecture Supports Long-Term Camera Compatibility
Haivision states that the Falkon X4's software architecture allows frictionless updates to the RIO platform, enabling faster support for new camera models, newly added camera features, and continuous evolution of camera control capabilities. This design, the company says, ensures customers gain an expanding camera control ecosystem throughout the device's operational lifetime. Chief Product Officer Jean-Marc Racine described the combined platform as delivering "professional camera control capabilities required for high-end sports, news, and live events," reducing on-site complexity in demanding live environments.
Cyanview's Broadcast Credentials Underpin the Partnership's Market Positioning
Founded over a decade ago, Cyanview has supplied camera shading solutions for high-profile sporting events, including multiple Super Bowls and Summer and Winter Games, as well as large-format productions such as high-end fashion shows and concerts. CEO David Bourgeois stated the RIO integration brings Cyanview's ecosystem "directly into the heart of remote production." In 2026, Cyanview is also introducing its Software Suite and CyanCamera App, which the company says are designed to support smarter and more creative broadcast workflows alongside the Haivision collaboration.
