ONGold Resources Ltd. (TSXV: ONAU) (OTCQB: ONGRF) has announced the commencement of its Phase 2 diamond drilling program at the Ti-pi-ha-kaa-ning (TPK) Project in northern Ontario, with operations expected to continue through late November 2026. The approximately 2,100-metre program targets high-grade gold structures identified during prior campaigns, including historically significant intercepts across multiple zones. Investors may be watching this milestone closely, as the program advances one of the company's key northern Ontario exploration assets into a new phase of definition and discovery drilling.
Key Points
- ONGold Resources Ltd. (TSXV: ONAU) (OTCQB: ONGRF) announced commencement of Phase 2 diamond drilling at the TPK Project in northern Ontario
- A 2,100-metre diamond drilling program has been launched, designed to follow up on high-grade gold intercepts and test structural continuity across multiple target zones
- Prior drilling returned intercepts including 19.39 g/t Au over 8.20 m and a historical result of 25.87 g/t Au over 13.5 m at the Goose Lake Structure; a new 2026 Sidewinder Zone with a minimum 70-metre strike length remains untested by drilling
- Investors may be watching for assay results from the current program and updates on the newly identified Sidewinder Zone target
TPK Project Scale and Location in Northern Ontario
The TPK Project comprises 2,835 cell claims covering approximately 76,292 hectares in northern Ontario and is accessible via the regional communities' winter-road network, which connects directly to the Musselwhite Gold Mine access road north of Pickle Lake. The property hosts multiple mineralized structures and exploration target areas informed by historical drilling, gold-grain-in-till anomalies, and gold-bearing boulder dispersal trains. The project's location within an established gold-producing corridor underscores the strategic rationale behind ONGold's continued investment in systematic exploration at this site.
High-Grade Intercepts Guiding Phase 2 Drill Targets
Prior campaigns have returned notable results across several zones. At the Discovery Zone, drill hole GR-25-011 returned 19.39 g/t Au over 8.20 m, including 359 g/t Au over 0.30 m. The Goose Lake Structure historical hole TPK-10-004 recorded 25.87 g/t Au over 13.5 m, including sub-intervals of up to 749.0 g/t Au over 0.30 m. The Crying Boy Lake Structure returned multi-metal results including 59.60 g/t Au, 92.30 g/t Ag, and 3.19% Cu over 0.50 m. The release notes all intervals are downhole core lengths and true widths have not been determined.
Sidewinder Zone Introduces New 2026 Discovery Target
A newly identified structure called the Sidewinder Zone features a shear diorite body with a minimum strike length of 70 metres and has not yet been drill tested. Surface grab and chip rock samples from the zone returned gold values ranging from 0.89 g/t Au to 10.70 g/t Au. The Phase 2 program incorporates integrated 3D modelling using prior drill results, geophysical datasets, and surface bedrock mapping to refine targeting across the property, with continuous downhole sampling and oriented core data planned to further characterise structural controls on mineralisation.
