Pinnacle Silver and Gold Corp. (TSXV: PINN | OTCQB: PSGCF | Frankfurt: P9J) has announced a Phase 1 diamond drilling program targeting silver-gold-lead-zinc mineralization on the Maria Fernanda 2 concession at its Potrero project in Durango, Mexico. The planned program totals 1,876.5 metres across 16 holes and follows up on polymetallic discoveries made earlier in 2026. A drill permit application is being prepared for submission within two weeks, with a response anticipated within 90 days, potentially allowing drilling to begin in Q1 2027.

Key Points

  • Pinnacle Silver and Gold Corp. (TSXV: PINN | OTCQB: PSGCF | Frankfurt: P9J)
  • Phase 1 drill program of 1,876.5 metres in 16 holes planned for the MF2 concession at the Potrero project in Durango, Mexico
  • Surface assays from key target zones include up to 3.21 g/t Au and 349 g/t Ag at Las Guasimas; up to 1,159 g/t Ag at the Minas Nuevas zone
  • Investors may be watching for the drill permit response and early field results from the northern Minas Nuevas zone

Four Target Zones Identified Across MF2 Concession for Phase 1 Drilling

The Phase 1 program will test four zones along a northeast-southwest trending vein system exposed over approximately 1,500 metres of strike length on the MF2 concession. The Paulina Breccia zone, traced for roughly 400 metres, will receive four holes totalling 437 metres, with surface values up to 0.232 g/t Au and 50 g/t Ag. The Las Guasimas artisanal mine area, approximately 650 metres to the southwest, will be tested with four holes for 616.5 metres, where dump grab samples returned up to 3.21 g/t Au, 349 g/t Ag, 3.49% Pb, and 5.30% Zn. Two additional zones, Matavacas and Jaelyn, will be tested with five and three holes respectively.

Geological Case for Depth Potential Anchored by Comparison to Topia Mine System

The company's geological team believes the MF2 polymetallic mineralization may represent an extension of the nearby Topia Mine system, located four kilometres to the northeast. President and CEO Robert Archer stated that vein trends, alteration, textures, and elevation at MF2 all point to potential for significant mineralization preserved just below surface. Surface elevations at MF2 range from approximately 2,200 to 2,400 metres above sea level, compared to mineralised horizons at Topia that typically occur below 1,900 metres, supporting the geological rationale for the drill program.

Minas Nuevas Discovery Triggers Ground Follow-Up on Northern Potrero Block

Separate from the MF2 drill program, the company identified the Minas Nuevas zone on the northern El Potrero concession block, approximately three kilometres south-southwest of the property's historic gold-silver mines. Preliminary sampling returned assays up to 0.252 g/t Au and 1,159 g/t Ag over 0.35 metres, with silver values across the initial four samples ranging from 240 to 1,159 g/t. Because no road access exists in this area, a geological crew will conduct follow-up prospecting, mapping, and sampling by camping nearby. All polymetallic discoveries at Potrero resulted from follow-up of an airborne LiDAR survey flown by the company in November 2025.
