Sego Resources Inc. (TSXV: SGZ) has announced that drill sites have been selected for a fully funded 2,000-metre diamond drill program at its Miner Mountain project near Princeton, British Columbia, scheduled to commence mid-October 2026. The program targets strong chargeability anomalies exceeding 12 milliseconds identified deep beneath the Cuba and South Gold Zones through 3D inversion of induced polarization data. Three holes are planned across two zones, with the aim of testing potential porphyry copper-gold mineralisation at depths not previously drilled on the property. Investors may be watching for assay results as the fall-winter exploration program advances.
Key Points
- Sego Resources Inc. (TSXV: SGZ) is a 100% owner of the Miner Mountain alkalic copper-gold porphyry project near Princeton, British Columbia
- A fully funded 2,000-metre diamond drill program targeting deep IP chargeability anomalies is scheduled to begin mid-October 2026
- Three holes planned: two in the Cuba Zone targeting anomalies at approximately 500 m depth, one in the South Gold Zone targeting a chargeability high at approximately 300 m depth
- Investors should watch for drill results and assay data from the fall-winter exploration program
Cuba Zone Drill Holes Target Anomalies at 500-Metre Depth
Two holes, CG1 and C2, are designed to intersect a large chargeability anomaly of more than 12 milliseconds beneath the Cuba Zone. Hole CG1 is collared west and north of the Cuba Zone, drilled south to enter the chargeability high at approximately 440 metres, continuing for an estimated total length exceeding 690 metres. Hole C2 will be collared southeast of the Cuba Zone and drilled northeast, targeting the chargeability anomaly at approximately 600 metres along hole, or roughly 500 metres vertical depth. Both holes are designed to drill beneath previously reported high-grade copper and gold intersections, including DDH 12-21, which returned 0.96% copper and 0.55 g/t gold over 100.4 metres.
South Gold Zone Hole Probes Potential Porphyry Copper Depth Extension
A single hole, designated Hole A, is collared northwest of the South Gold Zone and directed southeast toward a chargeability high at the 300-metre level plan. The company states that historic trench sampling and drill holes dating to 1963 identified copper mineralisation in the area, and the chargeability anomaly may be associated with deeper porphyry copper mineralisation. The hole will pass near previously reported gold-dominant intersections, including DDH 21-49, which returned 0.61 g/t gold over 56.9 metres. The release notes the anomaly is north of and deeper than the known South Gold Zone mineralisation.
QA/QC Protocols and NI 43-101 Oversight in Place for Fall Program
Sego states that certified reference samples, duplicates, and blanks will be systematically inserted into the sample stream throughout the fall-winter drilling program as part of its quality assurance and quality control protocol. The company also sends check assays to a second laboratory. The announcement was reviewed and approved by Tor Bruland, P.Geo., a qualified person under NI 43-101 definitions, acting as a non-independent consulting geologist commissioned by Sego Resources. The Miner Mountain property covers 2,056 hectares and is located 15 kilometres north of the Copper Mountain Mine operated by Hudbay Minerals Inc.
