Talon Metals Corp. (TSX: TLO | OTC: TLOFF) has released assay results from drill hole 25TK0562A at its Tamarack Nickel-Copper-Cobalt Project in central Minnesota, confirming grades across the previously announced record 46.43-metre interval of massive sulphide mineralization. The intercept returned 13.37% nickel, 16.54% copper, 0.10% cobalt, alongside platinum group and gold credits, equating to 27.39% nickel-equivalent over the full interval. The results represent the longest combined Massive Sulphide Unit and Mixed Massive Sulphide Unit intercept reported to date at Tamarack, adding weight to the Vault Zone discovery established in May 2025.
Key Points
- Talon Metals Corp. (TSX: TLO | OTC: TLOFF)
- Drill hole 25TK0562A returned assays across a record 46.43-metre MSU and MMS interval at the Tamarack Nickel-Copper-Cobalt Project in Minnesota
- Full interval graded 13.37% Ni, 16.54% Cu, 0.10% Co, 7.85 g/t Pd, 14.49 g/t Pt, and 8.56 g/t Au (27.39% NiEq or 54.78% CuEq) starting at 752.97 metres
- Investors may be watching whether ongoing step-out drilling extends Vault Zone mineralisation further laterally and at depth
Assay Results Confirm Polymetallic Grades Across Record Vault Zone Interval
The 46.43-metre intercept, beginning at 752.97 metres depth, includes a higher-grade sub-interval of 26.22 metres grading 14.95% Ni, 17.85% Cu, 0.11% Co, 8.53 g/t Pd, 16.79 g/t Pt, and 9.13 g/t Au, equivalent to 30.20% NiEq or 60.41% CuEq. Below the main interval, an additional 4.60 metres of disseminated chalcocite returned meaningful platinum group element mineralisation grading 8.90 g/t Pt and 1.87 g/t Pd, bringing the broader mineralised interval to 51.03 metres. The company noted additional sampling is planned to determine whether PGE mineralisation extends beyond the sampled zone.
BHEM-Guided Drilling Extends Known Mineralisation 50 Metres from Discovery Hole
Drill hole 25TK0562A was drilled from parent hole 25TK0562 to test a borehole electromagnetic anomaly identified from drill hole 25TK0566A. The release states that 25TK0562A is located approximately 50 metres southwest of Vault Zone discovery hole 25TK0563, extending known mineralisation on the 778-metre level. Talon has relied on BHEM surveys and directional drilling to test continuity and potential expansion of the mineralised system since the Vault Zone's discovery, and the company's disclosure suggests this systematic approach continues to guide prioritisation of drill targets within the zone.
Vault Zone Context Within the Broader Tamarack Nickel-Copper-Cobalt Project
The Vault Zone was established in May 2025 following drilling below the Tamarack Resource Area. Discovery hole 25TK0563 intercepted a cumulative 34.9 metres grading 14.86% Ni, 15.37% Cu, and 28.88% NiEq. Talon currently holds a 51% interest in the Tamarack project through an earn-in right of up to 60%, with Rio Tinto as joint-venture partner. The project covers 18 kilometres of strike length, with the company noting high-grade intercepts outside the current resource area. Talon also operates the Eagle Mine in Michigan, described as the only primary nickel mine currently operating in the United States.
