Highlights

  • April uranium production hits 4,604 tons of ore, containing 151,400 pounds of U₃O₈
  • Drill program intercepts up to 20.11% eU₃O₈ in Juniper Zone
  • New data may indicate greater uranium volumes than previous technical estimates

Energy Fuels Inc. (NYSE American: UUUU | TSX: EFR) announced record uranium production levels at its Pinyon Plain mine in Arizona during April 2025, with new underground drilling results also revealing multiple high-grade intercepts. The company extracted 4,604 tons of uranium-bearing ore during the month, averaging 1.64% eU₃O₈, which equates to roughly 151,400 pounds of uranium. This represents the highest monthly production since operations began at the site, and ore grades continue to exceed expectations based on earlier gamma probe readings.

The mine, previously known as the Arizona 1 Mine, is considered one of the highest-grade uranium mines in U.S. history. Energy Fuels suggests that current ore grades are significantly higher than estimates outlined in its February 2023 Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS), which could result in a larger total uranium yield from the Main Zone than initially forecast under S-K 1300 and NI 43-101 reporting standards.

In addition to the output figures, the company provided an update on its 2024–2025 underground drill campaign targeting the Juniper Zone, a lesser-developed area within the Pinyon Plain deposit. Drilling intercepted several high-grade zones, including:

  • 13.4 feet at 7.02% eU₃O₈ (PPCH-028)
  • 17.5 feet at 5.70% eU₃O₈ including 4.0 feet at 20.11% (PPCH-034)
  • 7.5 feet at 7.50% eU₃O₈ (PPCH-029)

These results may support a revision of the mineral resource estimate for the Juniper Zone, currently listed at 703,000 pounds of U₃O₈ at an average grade of 0.95% in Indicated Resources. Analytical testing of drill core samples is ongoing.
