Five Chipmakers Reporting Together: How Large and How Fast?

Five chipmakers released their figures on Nov 2, 2026, and every one of them ended the period in profit. Tower Semiconductor (NASDAQ:TSEM) delivered $526 million in sales, about 33% higher (calculated), and $120 million of profit. ON Semiconductor (NASDAQ:ON) brought in $1.722 billion of revenue, around 11% more, plus GAAP profit of $313.9 million. Lattice Semiconductor (NASDAQ:LSCC) posted $291.0 million for its fiscal third quarter, a 118.3% jump, along with $11.2 million in GAAP profit.

No ordering is implied here. Sales bases vary between $33.0 million and $1.722 billion, while fiscal calendars do not match: Lattice closed its quarter on Oct 3, 2026, Aehr on Sep 25, 2026, with its comparison period ending Aug 29, 2025. Tower's piece relies on a call transcript only, so its period end is an assumption.

ON Semiconductor: Automotive Softness Set Against AI Data Center Momentum

ON's revenue reached $1.722 billion, against $1.551 billion a year before, and GAAP profit stood at $313.9 million, equal to $0.79 for each diluted share. AI data center sales, now reported on their own, came in at $180 million, rising 175% from the prior year, while automotive sales eased 1% to $777 million as scarce Supply was redirected toward markets with stronger demand.

On an adjusted basis, gross Margin reached 41.2%, the fifth straight quarter of improvement, and free Cash Flow reached $489 million. A deal to buy a privately owned integrated voltage regulator maker was struck at $600 million, with up to $175 million of earn-outs on top. For the fourth quarter, revenue should land between $1.715 billion and $1.815 billion, while automotive sales could fall by high single-digit percentages.

Lattice Semiconductor: FPGA Demand and an Acquisition Lift a Record Quarter

Revenue was up sharply from the $133.3 million booked a year before, and it grew 44.7% over the second quarter. FPGA sales climbed roughly 90%, according to management, helped by data center AI demand and a recovery in industrial and embedded markets. Roughly two months of an acquisition closed on July 27, 2026 added $39.1 million, which accounted for 13% of revenue.

After acquisition costs, GAAP Net Income landed at $11.2 million, or $0.08 a diluted share. Non-GAAP net income reached $103.7 million, or $0.72 per share. Non-GAAP gross margin reached 70.9%. Long-term Debt stood at $869.1 million after $50 million was repaid during the quarter. The fourth quarter should see revenue between $325 million and $345 million, and non-GAAP EPS between $0.82 and $0.86.

Tower Semiconductor: Silicon Photonics and Capacity Expansion in Focus

Sales rose from $396 million to $526 million, and profit moved from $54 million to $120 million. Per diluted share, the figure went from $0.47 to $1.05. Silicon photonics brought in about $240 million, and Leadership expects year-end capacity to be roughly double the output supporting that revenue.

Roughly 65% of the $920 million expansion program is already paid for, and the company intends to fund it internally. Guidance for the fourth quarter clusters around $600 million. A refreshed long-range framework points to $3.6 billion in yearly revenue. The article says the exchange listing is unverified in the files, and one speaker put growth at 33% while another put it at 36%, with both figures drawn from a transcript.

Ichor Holdings: Operating Cash Use Alongside a Swing to Profit

Sales of $328.7 million were up from $239.3 million a year before. GAAP gross margin rose to 15.8%, up from 4.6%, and the company flipped from a $22.9 million loss into $20.9 million of profit, or $0.55 for each diluted share. Adjusted net income totaled $24.2 million.

Operating activities consumed $28.8 million, because inventory grew by $39.5 million and receivables by $36.0 million; leadership linked both to the sales ramp. The cash balance reached $213.5 million, supported by $195.4 million in net share sale proceeds. The fourth quarter is projected between $345 million and $365 million, with a gross margin near 16.5%.

Aehr Test Systems: Bookings and Backlog Behind a 200% Revenue Jump

Quarterly sales reached $33.0 million, up from $11.0 million twelve months back and 75% above the preceding quarter. GAAP Earnings came to $7.2 million, equal to $0.21 a diluted share, compared with a $2.1 million loss. Adjusted gross margin was 48.5%, against 37.5% before.

Orders totaled $46.7 million, and the effective backlog stood at $109.3 million on Nov 1, 2026. Fiscal 2027 revenue is now expected at $150 million, compared with an earlier band of $130 million and $150 million, alongside adjusted net income of at least a fifth of sales. Management cautioned that customer forecasts carry no binding obligation and that geopolitical developments in Taiwan and Southeast Asia present risks.

Growth Rates, Margins and Scale Across the Five Chip Results

Across the five, sales grew 79.8% on average (calculated), and the distance between Aehr at the top and ON at the bottom is 189 percentage points (calculated). Profit relative to sales reads 22.8% for Tower, 21.8% for Aehr, 18.2% for ON, 6.4% for Ichor and 3.8% for Lattice, the last of which carried acquisition costs (all calculated).

Combined sales for the five reached $2.901 billion (calculated), with ON responsible for 59.4% (calculated). Adjusted gross margins range from 16.0% at Ichor to 70.9% at Lattice, a 54.9-point spread (calculated), while Tower's article offers no overall gross margin figure. The comparison also mixes fiscal periods and both GAAP and non-GAAP measures.

What to Watch Next: Closing Timing, Next Reports and Test Cell Plans

Lattice and Tower both reference fourth-quarter reports, and Lattice anticipates a complete quarter from the Business it acquired. ON's purchase is expected to finalize during its fourth quarter of 2026. Ichor's outlook covers the fourth quarter, and it foresees sequential growth in each quarter of 2027.

Aehr intends to install a test cell in Taiwan early in calendar 2027, then make a production call; its fiscal year closes Jun 25, 2027. Tower aims for full output at a Japan expansion during the third quarter of 2027. The articles' materials gave no exact reporting dates.
