Key Highlights

  • USD 161.2B is Broadcom's figure in the S-1 chart data, the biggest among seven named Anthropic compute commitments that sum to USD 637.0B; on simple arithmetic, that puts Broadcom (NASDAQ:AVGO) near 25.3% of the named total.
  • Counting USD 131.7B held in short-term investments and cash as of June 30, 2026, the named commitments are 4.8 times that, or 13.8 years of Revenue at the Q2 2026 run rate, both labelled as calculated in the chart data.
  • Other named partners rank below the USD 161.2B shown for Broadcom (NASDAQ:AVGO), the S-1 chart data indicates: SpaceXAI with USD 120.5B, Google Cloud with USD 114.5B and Amazon with USD 110.0B.
  • A different total appears in a private bank's note, whereas the chart notes state that the S-1 leaves its own aggregate blank and that partner figures are secondhand, reported from S-1 pages 171 and 172, as the notes put it.

The Largest Named Commitment

Anthropic's S-1 reached the SEC on October 26, 2026. Charts based on that filing list compute commitments per partner as follows: Broadcom with USD 161.2B, SpaceXAI with USD 120.5B, Google Cloud with USD 114.5B, Amazon with USD 110.0B, Microsoft with USD 44.9B, Nscale with USD 44.6B and Lambda with USD 41.3B, which together reach USD 637.0B. According to the chart notes, estimated extra Google TPU and AMD capacity is left out and the S-1's own aggregate is blank. Using simple arithmetic on the chart's figures, the commitment to Broadcom (NASDAQ:AVGO) is about 25.3% of the named total and roughly 3.5 times Anthropic's USD 46.2B Q2 2026 annualised run rate.

Scale Against the Balance Sheet

The chart data shows USD 131.7B of cash and short-term investments at June 30, 2026, set against a first half net loss of USD 80.7B, most of it a non-cash fair-value change on convertible notes, and so not a cash outflow. USD 637.0B divided by cash gives 4.8 times, and divided by the Q2 2026 run rate it gives 13.8 years; the chart data labels both as calculations. By the same arithmetic, the commitment to Broadcom (NASDAQ:AVGO) alone is about 1.2 times cash. Since a commitment is a contractual obligation to buy capacity, its meaning for supplier revenue turns on timing, and the chart data supplies none.

Risks and What to Watch

The CIO office of a private bank wrote on October 29, 2026 that Anthropic has pledged no less than USD 518 billion toward cloud and compute spending for the coming ten years, which would be an enormous fixed obligation should Demand cool. The S-1 chart data gives USD 637.0B instead, so the two totals stay separate here. The note flags customer concentration as well, with about 20% of first-half revenue from two customers, and price competition. Worth watching for Broadcom (NASDAQ:AVGO) are whether Anthropic's revenue growth keeps pace with its obligations, whether the S-1 itself gives a firm aggregate, and how the two sets of commitment figures get reconciled.

Where Things Stand

The S-1 chart data puts Broadcom's commitment at USD 161.2B of USD 637.0B, the biggest single share, which is why it heads Anthropic's named compute partners. On the chart data's own ratios, named commitments are 4.8 times cash, a scale that prompts questions on how far revenue growth can cover them. A private bank's note cites a different total, at least USD 518 billion, so the totals come from sources that disagree. For Broadcom (NASDAQ:AVGO) this is context, not a forecast and not advice.
