NGEx Minerals Ltd. (TSX:NGEX) (OTCQX:NGXXF) has announced its Phase 4 exploration plan at the Lunahuasi high-grade copper-gold-silver project in San Juan, Argentina. Preparations are underway for mobilization of drill rigs, with drilling scheduled to begin in early October.

Phase 3 Results
The Phase 3 drill program, completed in the first half of 2025, returned some of the highest-grade copper, gold, and silver intercepts drilled globally in recent years. Results consistently intersected high-grade vein mineralization across significant widths and improved geological understanding of the structural controls at Lunahuasi.

Notably, Phase 3 confirmed the presence of a new copper-gold porphyry system and identified a fourth mineralization style characterized by ultra high-grade gold in quartz veins. These discoveries were reported in May and July 2025 updates, respectively.

Mineralization Types
Drilling to date has identified four distinct mineralization styles at Lunahuasi, all with high grades:

  • High-sulfidation copper-gold-silver veins
  • Intermediate sulfidation epithermal gold veins
  • Disseminated and stockwork high-sulfidation copper-gold mineralization
  • Porphyry copper-gold

Exploration Focus Ahead
Phase 3 drilling also outlined and extended three contiguous zones of high-grade mineralization – named the Mars, Saturn, and Jupiter zones. These zones, together with isolated intersections that require further definition, will be the focus of the upcoming Phase 4 program. The goal is to extend known mineralized zones, test additional targets, and refine geological interpretations that suggest Lunahuasi may represent part of a larger mineralized system.

With drilling commencing in early October, NGEx Minerals’ exploration at Lunahuasi will continue to build upon the discoveries made during earlier campaigns, advancing knowledge of the project’s scale and complexity.
