Enghouse Systems Limited (TSX: ENGH) announced the acquisition of Trafi Ltd., a Lithuania-based provider of Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) solutions, through a wholly owned subsidiary. The move adds a scalable, white-label MaaS platform to Enghouse’s suite of transportation technologies.
Trafi’s platform consolidates various mobility services—including public transit, car rentals, taxis, and micromobility options like bikes and scooters—into a single digital interface. The system is already deployed in multiple European cities under local brands, such as Jelbi in Berlin, Floya in Brussels, and Breeze in the Solent area of the UK.
The company’s software offers city authorities and transit agencies the tools to simplify urban transportation planning while integrating in-app ticketing, real-time data, and usage analytics. Designed to manage highly complex transport networks, the platform aims to improve user experience and support municipal mobility initiatives.
Enghouse Chairman and CEO Steve Sadler stated that the acquisition enhances the company’s existing transport solutions by incorporating Trafi’s multimodal capabilities. Trafi’s CEO, Damian Bown, emphasized the opportunity to extend the platform’s reach through Enghouse’s global network.
Founded in 2013, Trafi has focused on digital transformation in urban transit, with a particular emphasis on sustainability and accessibility. Its flexible architecture allows cities to tailor MaaS offerings to local infrastructure and policy goals.
With this acquisition, Enghouse continues to diversify its presence in vertical markets by adding software products that serve complex public infrastructure systems. The transaction highlights ongoing industry efforts to consolidate mobility solutions and address the evolving demands of urban transportation.
