Highlights

  • The company has acquired 32.5 acres in New Brunswick to develop a Tier III+ AI and HPC data center, expanding its renewable-powered digital infrastructure.
  • HIVE has reached a global Bitcoin-mining capacity of 23 EH/s, marking a remarkable 283% increase year-to-date.
  • The company is advancing plans for scalable HPC facilities designed to support up to 36,000 GPUs across its international network.

HIVE Digital Technologies Ltd.TSXV:HIVEannounced it has achieved 23 Exahash per second in global Bitcoin-mining capacity, marking 283% year-to-date growth. The company also completed the purchase of 32.5 acres of land in Grand Falls, New Brunswick, adjacent to its existing operations, for the construction of a Tier III+ high-performance computing data center that will host over 25,000 next-generation GPUs.

The project advances HIVE’s broader initiative to expand its AI and HPC infrastructure, leveraging renewable energy resources to address the rising global demand for computational power.

Land Acquisition for Tier III+ AI Data Center

The Grand Falls acquisition builds on HIVE’s existing 6-acre site acquired in 2021, which includes 70 MW of hydro-powered Bitcoin mining capacity. The newly acquired property, purchased for CAD 2.3 million, also includes an 80 MW substation fully owned by HIVE.

Craig Tavares, President & COO of BUZZ HPC, stated:

“Grand Falls offers the ideal convergence of Tier I and Tier III+ HPC data centers with clean power, scalability, and community partnership. Our vision is to transform this site into one of Canada’s most advanced Tier III+ AI HPC data centers, capable of hosting tens of thousands of GPUs for AI and HPC workloads.”

Executive Comments on the AI Super Cycle

Aydin Kilic,President & CEO of HIVE, said:

“Bitcoin miners like HIVE were early visionaries, sourcing stranded or surplus energy to build the foundational infrastructure that now fast-tracks hyperscalers in the AI industrial revolution. We’re not just adapting—we’re turbocharging a double-engine data-center machine, seamlessly building and upgrading Tier I and Tier III+ HPC facilities to unleash the most powerful GPU chips for AI workloads.”

Operational Progress Across Global Sites

At its Valenzuela, Paraguay site, HIVE has completed deployment of ASIC units and hydro-cooling containers at its 100 MW green-energy facility, powered by the Itaipú Dam. The company expects to reach 25 EH/s by late November 2025 with an average efficiency of 17.5 J/TH.

The company’s dual-engine model focuses on both Bitcoin mining and AI-oriented HPC operations. Active projects include the upgrade of its Boden, Sweden site for liquid-cooled HPC capacity supporting 2,000 GPUs, and the expansion of AI infrastructure in Toronto through its BUZZ data center and a Bell colocation partnership, collectively targeting 6,000 GPUs in operation by the end of 2026.

Capital Program and Share-Based Incentives

For the quarter ended September 30, 2025, HIVE issued 30,174,046 common shares under its at-the-market equity program, raising CAD 100.2 million (USD 73.1 million).

Additionally, HIVE granted 2,720,900 Restricted Share Units to employees, officers, directors, and consultants.
