Lightspeed Commerce Inc. (NYSE: LSPD, TSX: LSPD) has introduced its new Inventory Replenishment feature, integrated directly into Lightspeed Retail, the company's point of sale (POS) platform. The feature leverages Lightspeed NuORDER to automate and streamline wholesale processes for retailers and brands, simplifying the traditionally manual and time-consuming task of inventory replenishment.
The new PO Sync feature allows retailers to place replenishment orders directly within the Lightspeed POS system and automatically send them to suppliers with a single click. By removing repetitive steps and reducing manual effort, PO Sync helps optimize inventory management, ensuring retailers can keep their stock levels balanced with minimal input.
Lightspeed's wholesale network, Lightspeed NuORDER, connects over 4,000 brands and 100,000 retailers, offering enhanced product discovery, automated ordering, and access to valuable industry insights. This update further integrates these capabilities into the retail POS system, allowing for a more seamless and data-driven replenishment process.
Merchants using Lightspeed Insights can now incorporate order forecasts and recommendations to drive replenishment decisions. This data-driven approach helps reduce stockouts, minimize overstock, and optimize inventory levels. Retailers utilizing order recommendations have already seen a 26% reduction in days out of stock, and with PO Sync, these insights are now directly applied to the replenishment process.
In addition to the replenishment feature, Lightspeed has introduced two new brand partner types—Connect and Catalog—to enhance collaboration between brands and retailers. These features allow brands to manage retailer catalogs and streamline reordering processes, increasing consistency and efficiency in wholesale operations.
With these updates, Lightspeed aims to simplify the inventory and wholesale management process, providing retailers and brands with the tools to manage their businesses more effectively.
