EP-104GI Presentations Across ACG 2026 and UEG Week 2026
At ACG 2026 in Nashville, a poster presentation on October 12 will cover dysphagia improvements persisting over 52 weeks following a single EP-104GI administration in the RESOLVE trial, to be presented by Evan Dellon of the University of North Carolina. At UEG Week 2026 in Barcelona, two presentations are scheduled: a moderated poster on October 18 by Arjan Bredenoord of UMC Amsterdam covering dysphagia frequency and severity improvements, and an oral abstract session on October 19 by Margaret H. Collins of Cincinnati Children's Hospital addressing histopathological features of EoE following a single EP-104GI dose during dose escalation.
RESOLVE Trial Design and Diffusphere™ Technology
The Phase 1b/2a portion of the RESOLVE trial is a multicenter, open-label, dose-escalation study evaluating the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and efficacy of EP-104GI in adults with confirmed active EoE. EP-104GI is administered as a single dose via 4 to 20 esophageal wall injections. Cohorts 5 through 9 include doses ranging from 12×4mg up to 20×8mg, with patients followed for up to 52 weeks. The treatment leverages Eupraxia's proprietary Diffusphere™ polymer-based micro-sphere technology, designed to provide targeted, extended-release local drug delivery to affected tissues.
Phase 2b Recruitment and December 2026 Interim Data
The Phase 2b portion of the RESOLVE trial — a randomised, placebo-controlled study — is currently recruiting participants at both the 120mg (20×6mg) and 160mg (20×8mg) dose levels. The company has stated that interim data from the Phase 2b portion are expected in December 2026. EoE affects more than 450,000 people in the United States, according to market research from Clearview Healthcare Partners cited in the release, and has been identified as rapidly increasing in both incidence and prevalence, suggesting a meaningful potential market for an effective therapy.
