Graphano Energy Ltd. (TSXV: GEL) has announced the completion of ground geophysical surveys at its Black Jack graphite discovery in Québec, with results identifying three new surface graphite occurrences — designated Black 3, 4, and 5 — situated between the Black Jack and Black Pearl discoveries. Compiled data supports a 4-kilometre-long conductive trend hosting multiple graphite occurrences, reinforcing the district-scale potential of the project area. A field crew led by St Pierre Exploration is set to be mobilised within two weeks to conduct stripping, mapping, and channel sampling of the new zones. Investors may be watching closely given the pending assay results from 98 channel samples submitted in September 2026.
Key Points
- Graphano Energy Ltd. (TSXV: GEL) — exploration-stage graphite company focused on Québec, Canada
- Ground electromagnetic surveys completed covering 9.85 line-kilometres, identifying three new graphite occurrences at Black Jack
- Compiled results support a 4-kilometre-long conductive trend; 98 channel sample assays remain pending from September 30, 2026 submission
- Investors should monitor upcoming assay results and field program findings from the imminent stripping, mapping, and channel sampling campaign
Ground EM Surveys Expand Graphite Footprint Between Black Jack and Black Pearl
During October, St Pierre Exploration completed 9.85 line-kilometres of ground electromagnetic surveys at Black Jack, utilising horizontal loop electromagnetic (Max-Min II) and very low frequency electromagnetic (VLF-EM) methods. The program was designed to guide further prospecting and evaluate the extent of graphite mineralisation. Three new surface occurrences of visible graphite — Black 3, 4, and 5 — were identified between the Black Jack and Black Pearl discoveries, approximately one kilometre apart in Québec. The release states that compiled results to date support a continuous 4-kilometre-long conductive trend hosting the various graphite occurrences.
Black Jack Stripping Defined Mineralisation Over 125 Metres; Assays Still Pending
Earlier work at Black Jack included a prospecting and stripping program in which 98 channel samples were submitted for laboratory analysis on September 30, 2026. The stripping phase defined graphite mineralisation over approximately 125 metres in length, with surface widths ranging from 4 to 24 metres. Assay results from those samples remain pending. The company disclosed that further details, along with the assay data, will be released once received and reviewed. The disclosure suggests the forthcoming results could be a significant near-term catalyst for assessing the scale of mineralisation at Black Jack.
Black Pearl Historical Results Provide Context for Emerging Trend
The Black Pearl discovery, located approximately one kilometre southeast of Black Jack, provides important geological context. Shallow drilling at Black Pearl in 2025, following surface channel sampling of 14 metres grading 15.1% Cg, returned intersections including 12.25 metres grading 4.81% Cg and 8.61 metres grading 11.33% Cg. Earlier spring 2026 prospecting at Black Jack returned graphitic carbon values ranging from 12.0% Cg to 26.5% Cg, averaging 19.8% Cg across 28 grab samples, though the company notes grab samples are selective and not necessarily representative of average zone grades.
