Sego Resources Inc. (TSXV: SGZ) has announced the completion of a five-line 3D IP Volterra diamond array program at its Miner Mountain project near Princeton, British Columbia, revealing significant deep chargeability targets beneath both the Cuba Copper-Gold Zone and the South Gold Zone. Conducted by SJ Geophysics Ltd., the survey's 3D inversion has identified anomalies that will serve as primary targets for the company's upcoming, fully financed fall-winter drilling campaign. The company anticipates drilling to begin mid-October 2026, with maps and targets to be made available on its website in October.

Key Points

  • Sego Resources Inc. (TSXV: SGZ) operates the 2,056-hectare Miner Mountain alkalic copper-gold porphyry project in British Columbia
  • A 3D IP Volterra survey identified deep chargeability anomalies beneath both the Cuba Zone and the South Gold Zone
  • At the Cuba Zone, a high chargeability anomaly extends from 400 m to 500 m below surface, measuring approximately 200 m by 500 m
  • Investors may be watching for drill results from the mid-October 2026 campaign targeting the 450 m depth anomaly

Cuba Zone Deep Chargeability Anomaly Points to Potential Porphyry System

The 3D model has identified a large chargeability anomaly beneath the Cuba Zone extending from 400 m below surface to the maximum survey depth of 500 m, growing in size and strength with depth to an approximately 200 m by 500 m east-west target. The Cuba Zone itself hosts a structurally controlled copper-gold-silver trend up to 300 m by 600 m, with past drill intersections including 100 m of 0.95% Cu and 0.55 g/t Au in DDH 12-21, and 105 m of 0.31% Cu and 0.08 g/t Au in DDH 17-30. The company believes the Cuba Zone may represent the upper expression of a deeper alkaline porphyry copper system.

South Gold Zone Survey Reveals Semi-Circular Anomaly at Depth

The 3D IP Volterra survey also identified a chargeability anomaly at the South Gold Zone extending from approximately 120 m in the north to approximately 450 m in the southeast, appearing as a semi-circle to the north, east, and south of the zone at roughly 300 m below surface. The release states this anomaly could be related to deeper alkaline porphyry copper-gold mineralisation. During the fall 2025 drilling program, chalcopyrite was logged along fractures in several drill holes, with one-metre intervals ranging from 0.1% to 0.2% copper associated with gold and silver mineralisation.

3D Model Integration and Drill Collar Finalisation Underway at Miner Mountain

Sego's exploration team, working alongside SJ Geophysics Ltd., has developed a new 3D model integrating IP chargeability and resistivity data, all past diamond drill holes, and geological and mineralisation data. The company states the 2013 magnetic survey will be incorporated into this model before drilling commences, after which drill hole collars, azimuth, dip, and lengths will be finalised. The current drill program is specifically designed to intersect the deep Cuba Zone IP chargeability anomaly at approximately 450 m depth to assess whether it represents part of the main porphyry copper mineralisation system.
