Stellar AfricaGold Inc. (TSXV: SPX) announced on October 6, 2026, the completion of its Phase 1 trenching program at Zone D, a newly designated target area at its Tichka Est Gold Project in Morocco. Seven trenches totalling 84 metres were excavated, mapped, and channel-sampled over a two-week period, with all samples now submitted to an independent, ISO-certified laboratory for assay. The program was completed ahead of schedule and below budget, according to the release. Investors may be watching closely as Phase II diamond drilling advances toward commencement later in October 2026.

Key Points

  • Stellar AfricaGold Inc. (TSXV: SPX, TGAT: 6YP, FSX: 6YP)
  • Seven trenches totalling 84 metres completed at new Zone D between September 14 and September 27, 2026; 64 channel samples and 9 quality-control samples submitted to Afrilab (Marrakech)
  • Quartz veining carrying arsenopyrite and pyrite observed in three of seven trenches; four dykes tested, two additional dykes remain untested
  • Phase II drill program and PROGREM drone magnetic survey both advancing, with drilling expected to commence later in October 2026

Zone D Trenching Scope and Sample Submission at Tichka Est

The Phase 1 trenching program at Zone D comprised seven trenches excavated perpendicular to dyke trends across a target corridor hosting four principal dykes within a foliated siltstone host. The program totalled 84 metres, refined from the approximately 217 metres originally planned, with excavation focused on areas of thinnest cover and critical dyke-margin positions. Sixty-four channel samples and nine quality-control samples — representing approximately 12% of total samples — were submitted under chain of custody to Afrilab in Marrakech, an ISO-certified laboratory independent of the company. Results will be reported once received, validated, and interpreted in accordance with NI 43-101 standards.

Geological Observations Across Four Dykes at Zone D

Geological mapping revealed dioritic and doleritic dykes intruding foliated siltstone, including a composite north–south-trending intrusion (Dyke 3) traced over approximately 600 metres along strike. Quartz veining carrying arsenopyrite and pyrite was observed in trenches on Dykes 1, 2, and 4, with semi-massive arsenopyrite noted in trench TR1-D-26. Oxidised quartz veining was observed in both phases of Dyke 3. The company noted that the quartz-arsenopyrite vein style observed is consistent with mineralization intersected in drilling at Zone B. The release emphasises that visual observations are not a substitute for assay results and that no grade estimates can be made prior to assay.

Phase II Drilling and Drone Magnetic Survey Mobilisation Status

Contractor CMFM's drill rig and crew mobilisation to site remains pending receipt of administrative authorisation, with drilling expected to commence later in October 2026, the release states. Five of the 24 holes in the fully funded, approximately 5,000-metre Phase II program are provisionally allocated to Zone D, subject to assay results. Separately, the PROGREM high-resolution drone magnetic survey covering approximately 144 line-kilometres over Zones A, B, and C received flight authorisation on October 1, 2026, with mobilisation scheduled for October 20, 2026.
