Canada One Mining Corp. (TSXV: CONE) has released results from its summer reconnaissance exploration program at the 100%-owned Copper Dome Project near Princeton, British Columbia. The program covered multiple zones across the property, with standout rock grab samples from the Camp Zone returning up to 4.08 g/t gold, 27.70 g/t silver, 3.92% copper, and 2.13 g/t palladium. The disclosure also highlighted newly identified geological features at the Copper Dome South zone, which the company states warrants systematic follow-up work.
Key Points
- Canada One Mining Corp. (TSXV: CONE | OTC: COMCF | FSE: AU31) is a junior copper-gold explorer focused on porphyry targets in British Columbia.
- The summer field program established 16 stations and collected 11 rock samples across four target areas at Copper Dome.
- Sample C0066680 from the Camp Zone returned 4.08 g/t gold, 27.70 g/t silver, 3.92% copper, and 2.13 g/t palladium.
- Investors may watch how results from Copper Dome South, where a previously unrecognised rock type was identified, influence the company's stated plans for a fall phase of work.
Camp Zone Sampling Delivers High-Grade Multi-Metal Results
The Camp Zone, situated directly off the Crowsnest Highway near historic drill infrastructure, produced the program's most notable assay results. Field crews identified outcrops with visible copper oxide staining hosted within biotite-altered diorite and mineralised K-feldspar veining containing chalcopyrite. Sample C0066680 returned 4.08 g/t gold, 27.70 g/t silver, 3.92% copper, and 2.13 g/t palladium, while a second Camp Zone sample, C0066681, assayed 1.63 g/t gold, 18.35 g/t silver, and 1.07% copper. All samples were submitted to ALS Geochemistry in Kamloops for fire assay and multi-element analysis.
Copper Dome South Zone Reveals Previously Unrecognised Geology
At the Copper Dome South area, fieldwork identified a diabase unit hosting minor disseminated pyrite and trace chalcopyrite, a rock type the company describes as previously unrecognised on the property. Biotite and quartz stringers were also observed, which Canada One suggests may indicate geological context for potassic alteration and associated mineralisation. President and CEO Peter Berdusco stated in the release that the identification of copper enrichment in this zone "warrants systematic follow-up" and that findings from the program will help refine the company's exploration strategy and planning for the next phase of work at Copper Dome this fall.
Copper Dome's Location Within a Prolific B.C. Porphyry Belt
The Copper Dome Project sits in the lower Quesnel Trough porphyry belt and directly adjoins Hudbay Minerals Inc.'s Copper Mountain Mine to the north. Canada One holds a five-year drill permit and reports that historical work at the property includes over 8,900 metres of diamond drilling, 51 kilometres of induced polarization geophysics, and more than 2,600 soil and rock samples. The company is a junior exploration company targeting porphyry copper-gold systems in what it characterises as a Tier-1 jurisdiction with year-round infrastructure access.
