Cariboo Rose Resources Ltd. (TSXV: CRB) has announced that assaying is underway for two separate drill programs completed during the current field season in British Columbia. Option partner BRS Resources Ltd. funded a four-hole, 1,293-metre program at the Cowtrail Porphyry Copper Gold Project, while Cariboo Rose self-funded a four-hole, 1,062-metre program at its Lightning Strike Gold Project. Investors are watching for analytical results from both campaigns, which remain pending from the assay laboratory.
Key Points
- Cariboo Rose Resources Ltd. (TSXV: CRB) — copper and gold explorer with seven projects in British Columbia
- Assay results pending for all four holes at Cowtrail and all four holes at Lightning Strike
- Final Cowtrail hole was halted in visible mineralization at 562 metres depth; Carruthers Pass historical intercept graded 6.2% copper over 3.1 metres
- Investors should monitor upcoming laboratory results from both projects as the key near-term catalyst
Cowtrail Copper-Gold Drilling Reaches Visible Mineralization Before Season Close
BRS Resources Ltd. (TSXV: BRS) funded a four-hole, 1,293-metre drill program at Cariboo Rose's Cowtrail Porphyry Copper Gold Project in the Cariboo Region of British Columbia. The property is contiguous with the Woodjam Copper Gold Project owned by Vizsla Copper Corp. (TSXV: VCU). Notably, the final hole of the program was shut down within visible mineralization at a depth of 562 metres. Analytical results for all four holes have not yet been received from the assayer, leaving the significance of that intercept unconfirmed until laboratory data is returned.
Self-Funded Lightning Strike Gold Program Advances to Lab Stage
Following completion of the Cowtrail campaign, Cariboo Rose initiated its own four-hole, 1,062-metre drill program at the Lightning Strike Gold Project, located northeast of 100 Mile House, BC. Three of the four holes have been processed and samples shipped to the laboratory. Cutting and sampling of the fourth hole was continuing at the time of the announcement. No analytical results have yet been received for any of the Lightning Strike drilling, and investors will be watching for those figures as a potential indicator of gold mineralisation continuity at the project.
Cariboo Rose Highlights Copper Portfolio Beyond the Active Drill Season
Alongside the active programs, Cariboo Rose reminded shareholders of two additional copper assets. The Pat Copper property, 65 kilometres east of Williams Lake, covers an airborne magnetic anomaly identified by the Geological Survey of Canada in 1968 and has seen seven diamond drill holes to date. The Carruthers Pass Project in northern BC hosts massive sulphide mineralisation originally discovered by Freeport McMoRan in 1997, featuring a historical drill intercept of 3.1 metres grading 6.2% copper, 5.8% zinc, 2.37 g/t gold, and 192.0 g/t silver. The most recent work there, completed in 2022 at approximately $2.0 million, included an airborne electromagnetic survey and four drill holes.
