Discovery Mining Ltd. (TSX: DSV, OTCQX: DSVSF) has released assay results from 52 drill holes totalling 16,827.4 metres at its Pamour Mine near Timmins, Ontario, reporting high-grade gold intersections across four target areas. Highlights include 42.37 grams per tonne (gpt) over 5.1 metres in the East Pit and 40.64 gpt over 5.4 metres in the West Pit. The results form part of the company's 255,000–285,000 metre 2026 exploration program and indicate expanding mineralization beyond the current resource envelope, a development investors may be watching closely ahead of an updated mineral resource estimate planned for early 2027.
Key Points
- Discovery Mining Ltd. (TSX: DSV, OTCQX: DSVSF) released results from 52 drill holes (16,827.4 m) at the Pamour Mine, Ontario
- High-grade intersections reported across the Pamour East Pit, West Pit, Pamour West, and North Contact Zone
- Existing resource stands at 64.8 million tonnes grading 1.30 gpt (2.70 million ounces Indicated) and 23.3 million tonnes grading 1.34 gpt (1.00 million ounces Inferred)
- An updated mineral resource estimate is planned for early 2027; the current drill program remains ongoing across four active drills
Pamour Pit East and West Drilling Delivers Broad, High-Grade Gold Results
The 24-hole, 9,071.7-metre drill campaign within the Pamour Pit targeted near the east and west limits of the current resource. In the East Pit, standout intersections included 42.37 gpt over 5.1 metres in hole PAM26-0263 and multiple broad intercepts in hole PAM26-0297, including 7.39 gpt over 18.0 metres, 4.58 gpt over 20.7 metres, and 1.80 gpt over 29.0 metres. In the West Pit, hole PAM25-0138 returned 40.64 gpt over 5.4 metres and hole PAM26-0156 yielded 11.25 gpt over 10.5 metres. The company noted that holes PAM26-0288 and PAM26-0297 intersected mineralization just north and below the current resource pit, indicating potential for further strike and depth expansion.
Pamour West Drilling Confirms Mineralization 900 Metres East of Historic Broulan Pit
Eighteen holes totalling 4,671.7 metres were drilled in the Pamour West area to test zones surrounding and up to one kilometre east of the historic Broulan open pit. Notable intercepts included 6.05 gpt over 5.0 metres in hole PAM26-0282LR, 5.04 gpt over 10.0 metres in PAM26-0299, and 4.08 gpt over 11.3 metres in PAM26-0286LR. The company's release states that the most easterly hole drilled sits 900 metres east of the Broulan pit and 600 metres from the historic Pamour Pit, with mineralization occurring along the same volcanic-sedimentary contact hosting the historic Pamour Pit. The company considers the potential to add additional mineralization between the two pits to be excellent.
North Contact Zone Drilling Opens New Growth Corridor North of Current Resource
Ten holes totalling 3,084 metres targeted a major east–west trending volcanic-sedimentary contact directly north of the Phase 2 pit, testing an untested gap between historic holes located 600 metres to the east and 900 metres to the west. Key results included 1.43 gpt over 23.7 metres in hole PAM26-0265 and 4.36 gpt over 6.0 metres in hole PAM26-0271. The release states the new holes continue to expand mineralization northward beyond the current Pamour resource pit. Four drills currently remain active across the program's target areas, with exploration continuing as the company works toward a resource update planned for early 2027.
