Kodiak Copper Corp. (TSXV: KDK) has commenced an additional metallurgical testwork program at its 100%-owned MPD copper-gold porphyry project in southern British Columbia, focusing on flowsheet development and optimisation. The program will cover all seven deposits within the existing Mineral Resource Estimate and builds on testwork completed earlier in 2026. Results are expected in Q1 2027, a milestone investors may be watching as the company works to de-risk the project ahead of future economic studies.

- New metallurgical testwork program commenced at the MPD copper-gold porphyry project in southern British Columbia
- Program covers all seven MPD deposits; results expected in Q1 2027
- Investors may watch for the planned resource update in early 2027 alongside Q1 testwork results
Seven-Deposit Coverage and Four Composite Sample Design at MPD
The testwork program will include samples from all seven deposits comprising the MPD Mineral Resource Estimate: Gate, Ketchan, Man, Dillard, West, Adit, and South. According to the release, sample selection was designed to be representative of mineralisation, grade, lithology, and spatial variability across each deposit. Four composite samples representing the Southern Area, Northern Area, Ketchan, and Gate will be tested. Testing will encompass mineralogy, comminution, gravity testwork for gold, flotation rougher and cleaner optimisation, locked cycle testing, and concentrate quality assessment.
Fuse Advisors and Blue Coast Research Selected to Conduct and Supervise Testing
Kodiak has engaged Fuse Advisors Inc., Part of SLR, to design and manage the program, with technical guidance from Kodiak advisor Mike Westendorf. Laboratory work will be conducted in Parksville at Blue Coast Research Ltd. under the supervision of Fuse Metallurgist Renee Goold, P.Eng, who is identified in the release as an independent Qualified Person under National Instrument 43-101. Ms. Goold has reviewed and approved the technical information relating to the metallurgical work, while Dave Skelton, P.Geol and VP Exploration, approved the broader technical content of the release.
CEO Highlights Gold Recovery Optimisation and Project De-Risking Objectives
President and CEO Claudia Tornquist stated in the release that the program is designed to expand on previously encouraging metallurgical findings and will focus on optimising metal recoveries, particularly for gold, while producing data on rock properties and hardness. Tornquist also noted the program forms part of a broader effort that includes ongoing exploration and a planned resource update in early 2027, describing it as "another important step in unlocking the value of MPD" for shareholders. The immediate share price impact was not clear from available public information.
