(NYSE: FE) announced today that Michael Auseré has been named Vice President, Financial Planning and Analysis, effective June 2.FirstEnergy Corp. Logo (PRNewsfoto/FirstEnergy Corp.) In this role, Auseré will have responsibility for FirstEnergy's long-range planning and budgeting processes and support overall achievement of the company's financial objectives and strategic initiatives. He will report to Jon Taylor, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and will be relocating to Akron, Ohio. Auseré joins FirstEnergy with more than 25 years of energy industry experience. He most recently served as Vice President of Business Development at Eversource Energy, New England's largest energy provider. Earlier, he was the company's Vice President, Financial Planning and Analysis, leading budgeting and long-range planning for power and gas utilities serving 4 million customers in Connecticut, Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Previously, he held a series of financial roles at Energy Future Holdings (formerly TXU Corp), a Dallas-based energy company. These roles included Vice President, Planning and Analysis, for Luminant, Energy Future Holding's competitive power generation business. Auseré began his career in public accounting at PwC, where he audited multinational energy companies and advised on mergers and security offerings. He holds bachelor's and master's degrees in accounting from the University of Texas at Austin and is a Certified Public Accountant.
