Dynasty Gold Corp. (TSXV: DYG) has announced the completion of a 3,000-metre, fourteen-hole diamond drilling program at its 100%-owned Thundercloud Gold Project in Northwest Ontario. The July-to-September campaign targeted both IP chargeability anomalies and extensions of known mineralisation at the Pelham Zone. Assay results have not yet been released, and investors are watching for laboratory findings that could shape the project's next development phase. The company also noted it is considering additional drilling for the fall and winter season, subject to assay results and weather conditions.
Key Points
- Dynasty Gold Corp. (TSXV: DYG | FSE: D5G1 | OTC Pink: DGDCF)
- Completed a 3,000-metre, fourteen-hole drill program at the Thundercloud Gold Project in Ontario's Manitou-Stormy Lakes greenstone belt
- Six holes tested South-Pelham IP anomalies; eight holes drilled at the Pelham Zone for metallurgical samples, plunge extensions, and additional targets
- Assay results are pending; additional fall/winter drilling is being considered depending on results and weather
Thundercloud Drill Campaign Targets IP Anomalies and Pelham Zone Extensions
The fourteen-hole program ran from July to September at the Thundercloud property, located 200 kilometres southeast of Red Lake and 47 kilometres southeast of Dryden, Ontario. Six holes in the South-Pelham area targeted induced polarisation chargeability anomalies spread across a 300-metre by 400-metre area, which the company says are typically indicative of sulfide, particularly pyrite, mineralisation. The remaining eight holes focused on the Pelham Zone, testing down-plunge and easterly extensions of known mineralisation, historically indicated surface mineralisation to the north, and an east-west trending IP anomaly to the east of the zone.
Metallurgical Sampling Forms a Key Part of the Pelham Zone Drilling
Three of the eight Pelham Zone holes were specifically designed to collect mineralisation samples for metallurgical testing, a step the company describes as necessary to further evaluate the potential for open-pit mining at the project. This focus on metallurgical data suggests Dynasty Gold is advancing its technical understanding of how ore from Thundercloud might be processed, which could be a meaningful input into any future resource development decisions. The release does not indicate a timeline for when metallurgical results will be available.
Core Handling, QP Oversight, and Pending Assay Results
All drill core was logged and marked for sampling under the supervision of technical adviser Peter Holbek, M.Sc., P.Geo, or director Richard Redfern. Selected core was cut by diamond saw and delivered to a laboratory in Dryden, Ontario, for analysis. Holbek, who qualifies as a Qualified Person under National Instrument 43-101, reviewed and approved the technical content of the announcement. Assay results will be released when available, and the company has not disclosed an expected timeframe for receipt of those results.
